I know A LOT about yeast infections and I know that I can help you. I’ve been dealing with yeast infections my whole life so I know how you feel. I actually wouldn’t use the tampon and yogurt thing, I have heard of it but I wouldn’t suggest it. You have to think… what if you left yogurt sitting out on the counter for a few days, what would happen… your body temp keeping it warm and stuff is probably not a good idea. You can however use acidophilus pills like the pearls and place them inside instead of the yogurt. The pills won’t spoil. There is a difference in the ingredients in clotrimizole and monistat. See your yeast that you have going on might be immune to the monostat and thus you might have to switch up the medications to something with a different active ingredient. It won’t hurt you at all to switch up on the medications either. I would suggest a regular water douche to get the yogurt out and then use the other medication. I actually wrote a really good article on how to cure yeast infections and I think that it might help you. It will give you tips to try and some natural remedies as well. It’s also very detailed and easy to understand. Here is the link…

Best of luck and I hope you get to feeling better soon.
The live active cultures in yoghurt might kill yeast, but not enough to cure your infection. Severe yeast infections usually require more than just one treatment of diflucan, but doctors are hesitant to prescribe it until they have made sure you don’t have any kidney or liver problems. I suggest you call the doctor who prescribed you the diflucan and insist on them calling in more (have the number of your pharmacy ready to give them).
The next time you see a doctor about this, let them know that one puny little pill doesn’t work for you and a minimum of three days treatment is probably needed.
Additionally, avoid taking baths or exposing your junk to hot water. Rinse with lukewarm water only and use a gentle baby soap down there. Wear only cotton panties.
And if you have a sugar addiction or blood sugar problem, this can also worsen the yeast growth. Try eliminating refined sugard from your diet for a few weeks too.
yes yogurt douche works but it has to be sugarless, just plain jane yogurt. It is easier to buy aciphidophilis pills. You can get them at any pharmacy in the vitamin isle. They are harmless with no side effects but they are equivalant to eating 3 things of yogurt. NO TAMPONS. You need to be letting that get as much air as possible. Hope that helps.
But i do wanna talk to you about something else, im not implying anything just wanna give you as much info as i can. If you are sexually active you could have trichomonas. Its an STD, and it has the same symptoms as a yeast infection. Except the discharge is more slimier than it is chunky. Anyway and men can go without symptoms for up to 6mon. and when they do get symptoms they dont think nothing of it cause its similar to jock itch. The only way to find out is pap smear. Then they will prescribe you three pills, you can take them all at once or spread them apart (so they dont uspet you tummy) and you are rid of it in 24 hours.
