Yeast Infection?
I found out that I had yeast infection in August. I took my 4 treatments of Diflucan like my GYN prescribed but it still hasn’t gone away, I also 2 weeks of Boric Acid Capsules. But the thing is along with the whiteish discharge was a strong pungent odor, it isn’t fishy but it smells like "body odor", I shower regularly so I know for a fact that that isn’t it. I don’t douche either.
So my question is would you have any idea of what Infection I have? And also is it possible to have both a yeast infection and a bacterial infection?
Another thing is I’ve been taking acidophilus capsules 3 times a day,30 minutes before a meal, because I heard it helps alot with vaginal health. Any tips on how to get rid of the odor would help alot!

anything you put in your body (food, supplements, drinks, drugs/cigarettes) can have an effect on body odors.. try changing your diet/supplements/etc and see if you get changes in your odors.
I’d go back to the gyn and have them do a bacterial culture. It’s possible but unlikely that you have both at the same time since each prefer different vaginal conditions. One thing that may have happened is you killed the yeast infection but replaced it with a bacterial infection.
I have been battling this issue only 3 times in my life. But every time I had it, it got worse and couldn’t get rid of it unless I got a prescription from my doctor, took the tablets many times… I’ve tried everything.
Finally had a learning experience last week. My Shaklee distributor recommended garlic tablets and I said, heck why not. You’ve got to try this! Instructions and suggestions are on this website http://www.completeproductline.com/webpage.asp?id=87 Good luck, and feel well soon.
I found this really interesting home remedy cure. I added the link to the website for more information if you are interested.
If you find that your odor is caused by BV or a yeast infection, you can treat the problem on your own by adding acidophilus to your diet program. You can either get this ingredient by eating a daily serving of yogurt, or by taking an acidophilus supplement. There is also a new, FDA-registered supplement on the market that is used for treating BV. It is called Enzara, and it has been proven effective as a home remedy for vaginal odor by treating the problem from the inside out. All of the ingredients in Enzara are herbal and homeopathic, and it can be found at health food stores and over the Internet. The good news is that there are a number of home remedies for vaginal odor that you can try so that you do not have to suffer from this uncomfortable and embarrassing condition for very long.
