Terramycin fights bacteria, not viruses..
However, terramycin may help prevent a secondary infection resulting from the sores caused by the herpes. I’ve used terramycin eye ointment with foster kittens with that before. It at least prevented it from getting worse.
Another thing you should try to get is Lysine which helps boost the immune system in a cat with a virus.
As far as I am aware there is nothing that will cure your cats of the herpes virus. The idea in treating this virus is that you treat the symptoms – the running eyes, the running nose, etc.
I have used Polysporin opthalmic ointment with good results – providing the eyes aren’t too infected.
I’ve tried the lysine on my guys but without any success, possibly because I also have calici virus in conjunction with the herpes virus.
