When do I use the treatment for my yeast infection?
I am currently taking Bactrim antibiotic for a urinary tract infection — and it has given me a yeast infection. I have one of those over-the-counter treatments for the yeast infection. But I don’t know whether to use it now or whether I should wait until I am completely through with the antibiotics. I don’t want to "waste" it in other words. The yeast infection is so irritating that I hate to have to wait another one week when I’m through with the antibiotic pills. But I question whether the yeast infection medication will "work" if I’m still continuing to take the antibiotic.

I know EXACTLY what you mean! I go through it every other month (I get UTIs more often than I care to think about!) Anyway, I always wait until the antibiotics are over before I treat the yeast infection. But in the meantime, I have to do something because it is miserable waiting with one! THey have over the counter creams to take away itch/burn, or you can do the home remedy with plain yogurt….don’t knock it til you try it! Feel better!
You can take it while on antibiotics. Just not 1 after the other. wait a few hours or even hav 1 treatment in the morning the other at night. I asked the pharmacist when I had it.
