Whats the difference between period and spotting during pregnancy?

i’m 18 and 4 months pregnant. I started bleeding today. It is not a full blown period but it seems like a little more than a spot is this normal?

spotting is where you only have blood when you wipe and it’s brown or pink color. period is when you actually bleed red and blood actually drips. either way, you should inform your doctor right away you were bleeding. i was told if you full two pads in one hour go to the ER but personally i would go if only one pad was full.

anything that is RED and is like a period, heavier than a discharge is not good!!

Usually after an exam with your OB/GYN you might have a little light bleeding. Call your dr. immediatly though..any kind of unexplained bleeding is a red flag. At least it was for me..keep your baby safe. Good luck and God bless with your little bundle.
Go to your doctor. This could be a very serious problem.
