What was your first period like after you delivered?

I bleed for about 6 weeks after delivery then it completely stopped, then a week or so later I had a little heavier spotting and I called my doctor and they said it could be my first period.
What was yours like?
Do you think it was my first period?
I haven’t had one since and it has been over a month.
Any advice would help, my husband and I are planning on having another baby as soon as possible.
FYI: I have been breastfeeding and for 3 months and I am weaning him off now.

With my first two, it was roughly around 6 months (when we started them on solids) and it was normal. With the last one, it was a year postpartum and it was short, but resumed the regular length for me the next cycle.
Well first off you shouldnt get a period while breastfeeding, so the "spotting" you got could have still been the last of the lochia (thats the bleeding you get after delivering)
When you stop breastfeeding you´ll most likely get your period within a month (I got mine a week after I stopped)
i was the same way when you breastfeed it happens some times you wont start your period till you stop
I had similar bleeding after my baby was delivered. After about 8 weeks, I bled no more while breastfeeding. I weaned my baby off at a little after 4 months, and did not get my period back until almost 6 months.
When it did come, it was awful, bleeding similar to right after delivery. And quite painful cramping. It lasted about 6 days total, but the first three days, I really could not leave the house because the bleeding was so bad. I had to change an overnight pad atleast once per hour.
Once you do get it, just take a motrin or other OTC pain reliever and be sure you are stocked up on supplies.
My first period came a month after the bleeding stopped and I ws breastfeeding. It was more heavy than normal and didn’t last too long. Also it made my pelvis and vagina area sore. Oh, and for me there was much more back pain than usual.
