what is the best drug for Urinary track Infection?

I have been suffering from urinary tract for sometimes now and each time i take the drug,CIPROFLOXACINE, the occurence will stop but it will later come back.What is the best drug for such UTI?

drink cranberry juice daily. have the doc run a culture on your urine to make sure the bacteria is sensitive to the med. make sure you are cleaning correctly after you use the bathroom and have sex.
hygiene, peeing after sex and wiping after going to the bathroom, not using scented soaps or shampoos in that area, cotton underwear and remembering to change it, and of course the ever popular cranberry juice or tablets, that’s the one proven time and again the acid in cranberry juice cleans it out so that the bacteria can’t breed into an infection. And be sure you take the drug everyday for the entire 10 days and at about the same times each day.
Just get the cranberry extract pills,, I used to get UTI’s all the time and I take one of those a few times a week and I havent had one in years !!
drink lots and lots of water, If the mainstream doctors are failing you go see a natural doctor. There is a medicine that will relieve the symptoms called Uristat…This WILL NOT CURE the infection, only relieve the pain and burning. Good luck.
I don’t know about drugs but they say cranberries are great for preventing that kind of thing, try some inner health pills, maybe change your diet, that could just be the key, cheers!

But, recurrent UTI means get a Urologist to check you out to find out why.
If you have a resistant bug then you need a sample sent to the lab to find out which antibiotic it is sensitive to.
Always take the full course of medicine.
Examine your sources of sexual contact to think about whether you keep getting re-colonized.
Cran capsules are probably much better than juice. The refined sugar or high fructose corn syrup in cranberry cocktail is a bad idea, especially when you have some sort of infection. (if someone out there who reads this has a bladder infection and just HAS to have their sweet treat, then at least get the kind that is sweetened with other fruit juices) You want to drink a lot of water.
On top of that, cleaning up your diet in general is a good idea. There are probably herbs that help… I’ll look online and edit this in a sec. Echinacea/goldenseal might be one. I bet a B complex or a multivitamin is smart. Make sure you know what acid/alkaline diets are! I wouldn’t eat red meat. Garlic has antibiotic properties. I use Kyolic brand garlic capsules when I take garlic. They are actually almost odorless.

Check it out… from what I know I would say that the information is accurate. (Although I will always skip over anything labelled "homeopathy" until some good evidence hits me over the head)
I would say definately try vitamin C… get big 1000 mg horsepills and pop ‘em throughout the day. Take 5 to 10. If you get diarrhea, reduce the dose to 4-5. Zinc is always smart and you should probably be taking it every day anyway so get some of that. For garlic, if you don’t want to try Kyolic every day to boost your immune system, just get a clove of garlic and find a healthy dish with lots of it. Get some yogurt or Kefir yogurt drink, and of course the cran capsules. (actually I’ve never felt like cran was helpful for me, but who knows)
Make sure you’re not doing anything to compromise your immune system, and if you get any other symptoms (fever, severe pain, back pain, or blood) then get to the doctor right away. Also, if it doesn’t clear up, get to doctor.

Natural is the way to go. Flush your system out with barley water for a day and then drink only water for the next three days.
Prob should be fixed. Also remember cleanliness is really important. Whilst you have a UTI and also as you are recovering you should also wash down there every time you go to the loo.
A UTI in a man is not very common–especially a young man. It generally happens to women with more frequency, since they obviously have a shorter urethra–making them more prone to infection from bacteria. Men that have reached middle age or have some mobility problems–such as those caused by a spinal injury, are also prone to frequent UTI infections. Cipro usually does the trick for most patients, but there are bacterial strains that are resistant to the medication. Your physician should put you on other alternative medications. He should also investigate what caused your UTI, especially if you’re a man under the age of 40. Good luck.
You may have something other than a UTI. Look up I.C. on the internet and see if your symptoms are similar, then seek treatment.

Ciprofloxacine is the right drug for UTI, but if the infection is recurrent frequently…you should undergo urine laboratory diagnostic test to determine waht is the causes of you UTI.
If the causes can be determined, either bacterial, stones or virus or other causes, the therapy can be fixed.
The tests also can determine the location of the infection : from urinary tract, prostate (in males), from gynelogical tract (in females) or even from gastro-intestinal tract.
The general therapy is
- The right antiobiotic like ciprofloxacine, trimetoprim,
- Anti Infalamtory drugs like dexamethasone or prednisone
- Analgetics (pain killer) like mefenamic acid
- Anti urolithiasis (anti urine tract stone) like Urispas
You also shoul take 8 glass of water per day.
