What did women do before there were ‘feminine hygiene products’?
When they were on their period, I mean. Like, what did they use? lol.

Some used rags.
Moss.
Wool.
and Sponges. (From the ocean)
They just used rags.
They used rolled-up rags which they either washed out or threw away when finished.
A cotton cloth or something as equally absorbent and soft.
They used bunches of rags, and washed them and reused them. That was where the expression "on the rag" came from. Native Americans, and probably cave women too, used a kind of absorbent moss that was like a sponge that could be rinsed, wrung out, and reused.
washrags….tampons are surely the greatest invention of the last century! hands down.
They washed and washed whatever cotton rags or diaper like things they would manufacture themselves, or buy. And wash and wash.
