What are my chances of getting genital herpes after having sex with an infected person one time?
I had sex with a girl about two weeks ago and today she apparently found out she has herpes. We only had sex one time and I did not see any signs of an outbreak but I really wasn’t paying that close of attention. I used a condom when we had sex but not when she performed oral. I did not perform oral on her. What do you think my chance of being infected is?

You have more of a risk when there are sores present, but it can also be transmitted without any sores present. Usually your first outbreak is within two weeks of exposure.
You need to get your self to a clinic and get tested for herpes as well as other STD’s. Burning on urination, penile discharge, and lesions are all signs and symptoms of std’s. There is no way to tell if you have an std or not without the proper testing.
Probably low if you used a condom but you should go get checked anyways.
you can get infected even if she didn’t have any signs. I would pray that you don’t get it, wearing a condom helps but you can still get infected. I would make a trip to a clinic and get tested.
Good question. I would like to know too.
You shouldn’t have them because you used a condom but go an get checked any ways.
there is a small risk but its better to get check, so go to a clinic asap
GET CHECKED, I am glad that she told you and didn’t chose to keep it to herself.
You can be infected, especially if she was having an outbreak or about to have an outbreak when you guys had sex. Wait to see if you get any symptoms. Condoms do not protect against herpes, but it does have a little barrier. If she has oral herpes, then you are at a high risk of having the virus.
if she has oral herpe (cold sores) she could have transfered them to your genitals. u can get them even if they don’t have an outbreak or are having symptoms of an outbreak. look up some of the symptoms for herpes. if u start having any of those then get checked out. the chances are less when there is no outbreak and if she is using medication its lowered again but there is still a risk that u could get herpes. so without knowing if she is doing anything to controll her outbreaks, u should get tested for herpes.
