Did you know they sell a test now in the yeast infection treatment aisle that will tell you what you have? It sounds to me like a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis (both you can get without being sexually active), but you can only be sure if you get tested.

If you do the OTC yeast stuff (I suggest Monistat), then you can assume it is another type of infection. No, it won't hurt you to treat it just in case.

Your vagina produces a mucous that is white. You should never treat yourself for anything like that unless you get a firm diagnosis because it would make your chemicals unbalanced. Go to a doctor, have a pap smear, get professional help.

You should go to the doctor. You shouldn't put it in your body if you don't need it and it doesn't mean it's a yeast infection. It does sound like one though. Here are some helpful tips you can do if you have yeast infections:~Eat yogurt
~Wear 100% cotton undies
~change soaps(use unscented soaps)
~Take showers instead of baths
~Sleep with no bottoms on(It will keep the moisture out which causes yeast)
~try staying away from tampons while you have these symptoms
Hope this will help! :)

It is normal to have a white and/or clear non-odor discharge as the vagina is self-cleaning.

Different types of infections:

Signs of yeast infections:
White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
Intense itching

Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva

Signs of trichomoniasis
A watery, yellowish or greenish bubbly discharge
An unpleasant odor
Pain and itching when urinating
Most apparent after your period
