Serious vaginal pain from yeast infection – HELP!!?
I’ve had a yeast infection for a little over a week now. I tried using monistat and it didn’t clear it up. I went to the doctor Friday and he confirmed it was a moderate to severe yeast infection and gave me Diflucan.
It’s been two days and I’m still having severe vaginal pain. The discharge has cleared up and so has the itching, but the pain around my vaginal entrance is the same if not worse. I don’t know whats causing it. This pain is killing me.
I haven’t had sex recently (he did finger me – stupid, I know) and I’m STD free (just got checked two weeks ago).
Has anyone not had Diflucan work? I have a second pill coming up in 5 days but I’m not sure I can stand this pain much longer.

Diflucan should knock it out, and the second pill should really help. The pain is probably from irritation from scratching or fabric rubbing down there. This may sound odd, but try ‘going commando’ in your home whenever possible. Letting the area breathe and not be constricted may help. It’s helped me in the past. Good luck.
Try a cool to cold compress, that might help.
