Jock Itch / Male Yeast Infection?
I was wondering if someone could help me determine what I have.
My skin on the bottom part of my scrotum red compared to the color of the rest of my scrotum. Unless washed everyday, the skin begins to peel / flake / cracking skin and become itchy.
I have read many sources at yahoo answers, Wikipedia and other pages
I have read all the symptoms of jock itch and it seems most probable, but what concerns me most is that most jock itch cases affect the groin area while mine is only a patch on my scrotum.
As I’ve read here:
http://chealth.canoe.ca/channel_condition_info_details.asp?disease_id=171&channel_id=2003&relation_id=12003
"Classic jock itch affects the inner thighs and lower buttocks, not the genitalia themselves. If the scrotum is inflamed, it’s probably due to a different yeast condition called candidiasis, and a physician should be consulted."
1. Does this mean I have candidiasis (yeast infection)?
2. Where could I have received this from?
3. Could it infect any one whom I have sexual intercourse with being on the lower portion of my scrotum ?
I am lead to believe it is a yeast infection because after sexual intercourse with a female, she produces a white flaky substance (solid) (best describes as small pieces of wet paper mache) out of her vagina.
Oh and the most obvious question what should I do if it is a yeast infection, is it required to consult a doctor?
How do I talk to her about it?

I read the information in the link you gave. It sounds more like you have candidiasis. You need to see a doctor to get medication to clear it up.
After the doctor gives you the correct diagnosis, you need to tell the female you had sex with.
Good luck!
could be caused by sweat and bad hygiene
get some anti biotics, i don’t think it’s necessary to see a doc for a yeast infection
wash your genitals very well in the shower, make sure you dry ver very well and you’ll never get that again
When I have had jock itch, (several times) it only affected my scrotum, and was easily resolved by using over-the-counter products that are readily available at any pharmacy or supermarket.
Tinactin and Cruex are two of the major brands that I’ve used.
You could simply buy some, and try it on the area, and if it doesn’t clear up within a few days, a trip to the doctor will be necessary.
By the way, I had a tendency to get it in the warmer weather, and finally switched to boxers in the summer, for better air circulation around the genitals.
if it is red and itchy then it is jock itch, use some vaseline,
if you and your partner have sex and the girl dose not know if she has or not you can get (SORRY) ask your Dr. about it.
good luck to you
Your Answer:
Hi John,
Sounds like you have a yeast infection. If you do both you and your GF need to be treated or it will just be passed back and forth and sex will not be fun anymore.
While the over the counter meds work to clear up the yeast infection it never treats the root cause and it will keep coming back.
Below is a natural cure for yeast infection and both you and your GF should be on this treatment. It is a fast, natural and permanent cure to your yeast infection.
