Is probiotics 50 billion too much to take for my age?
I am 37 years old, and I have been on numerous antibiotics in the past year. I get sick with colds, etc a lot. A friend of mine recommended I take probiotics every day to get the good bacteria back into my body. When I went to GNC last night, they told me I should take the 50 billion one. Is that too much to take every day? I don’t know much about this product, so any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

If I mailed you a box of brownie, would you eat it?
Do you know what I could possibly put inside that brownie? Maybe I put something to prevent you from having children, or make your hair from falling out?
Maybe I added something, in a long run, to make your teeth all fall out?
But, you’ll eat it anyway, because brownie is your favorite food! Make sure you research anything you take, and it’s got the FDA approved logo. They’re there for a reason, to save the consumers.
Think about it. Go to
Gov website and type in Probiotics
http://www.fda.gov/Cosmetics/default.htm
You’ll thank me later!
First off, don’t take something you don’t know much about.
Secondly, a single dose of probiotic supplement should have a MINIMUM of 10,000,000 live bacteria - experts say. It is also clear that these bacteria should be from one or more of the Lactobacillus family - which are just about the only ‘friendly-bacteria’ tough enough to make it into the large intestine where they need to be!
