Some yeast infections are serious enough that they need prescription medications to cure them. Oral antifungal meds may be what you need; in extreme cases the medications must be given IV, but I doubt you’ll need that.
It’s good that you’re going to the doctor. In the meantime, wear cotton panties and loose-fitting pants. Heat and moisture cause the yeast to grow faster.

sounds like thrush you can buy cream at the chemist be careful as it is an infection and can be passed on during sex. If you wear thongs or tight jeans this could well be the cause try putting natural yoghurt down there it stops the itching.
There are pills your doctor can give you to help stop yeast infection. Also, it may be something other than yeast of the standard treatments don’t help. You may want to get your blood glucose checked, as this is how I discovered I was diabetic, a yeast infection from h**l. It just would not go away, and my sugar was almost 400 when tested.
Yep, antibiotics give a lot of people yeast infections. Go to the doctor! You need actual medicine that works inside and not outside of you. And it may not go away the first time, mine usually don’t. You may have to go back more than once. But hoepfully not!
