is it harder to treat yeast infections during pregnancy?
I just found out that i’m pregnant, and am wondering if that might be the reason why my yeast infection won’t go away. I’ve used the full treatment of monistat and a full treatment of terazol. Saw the doctor who did a swab for other "infections", but just from the naked eye, he said it still looked like it was just yeast. Any thoughts on treatment of infections during pregnancy? Thanks in advance.

It isn’t harder a yeast infection is a yeast infection if your pregnant or not. But there are some treatments that may not be safe during pregnancy due to the fact that they get into the bloodstream! So check with your doctor and see what he recommends for a yeast infection during pregnancy! And I had a discharge the whole time I was pregnant with both of my children but it wasn’t yeast so that may be something that you might be experiencing also
I am a guy but pretty experienced with a lot of your womanly needs. My friend used plain yogurt when she was pregnant. The culture in the yogurt actually used the yeast as a food source and it also helped a lot with all the other nasty little side effects you are facing. I think it would be healthier too with you being pregnant. Good luck and congrats.
Ask him to check for a bacterial infection. I forgot the full name of it. but I had it my doctor said most women think it is a yeast infection because it has the same symptoms as a yeast infection but the bacteria can get up inside and actually attack the embryo and cause you to miscarry. So he put me on anti biotics and now it is gone and i have no more spotting. ( i was having burning and a slight spotting) good luck
CALL THE OB.
Believe it or not - too many women are treating yeast infections with over the counter medicine, and causing themselves more harm then good.
It has been found that many times, women are treating what they believe to be yeast infections, that are really not. (i.e. why you may keep getting them). You should make an appointment immediately with your physician to have them take a look at this matter - Professionally.
Well if you had intercourse with your husband/boyfriend unprotected while you had this infection, if it is indeed a yeast infection he can be giving it back to you. If you have had intercourse with him since you have had it don’t anymore until he sees the doctor too. They can put him on some medicine that will get rid of the infection that he is carrying. He will not know he has it because it does not effect men like women.
yes get it treated asap. i waited to long to get mine treated and i was in the ER for 8 hours today. I just posted a question about it try and read it. its not worth taking any chances! Good luck and COngratsSSS!!
