The problem is the fact that you continuously use these over the counter meds and pills like diflucan and fluconazole.
Your body has built up a resistance to this form of cure. Try treating the root problem – the candida.
You can try natural treatments like:
1. avoid sugars and complex carbohydrates from your diet
2. Drink lots of water and eat plenty of fiber
3. eat probiotics like plain yogurt and cottage cheese
4. sleep with no underwear and wear breathable cotton panties during the day.
5. avoid using scented soaps and body sprays
6. don’t douche
7. add grapefruit seed extract to your diet
8. put two to three drops of tea tree oil on a tampon and wear the tampon for 12 hours. do this for 2 days.
9. Apply a garlic clove to the infected area for up to 8 hours. The acidity will neutralize the infection.
10. Avoid sexual intercourse
I would get a second opinion. Macrobid always gave me yeast infections! Drink PLENTY of water every day, drink cranberry juice daily to promote healthy bladder function, wear only cotton crotch panties and never walk around for long periods of time in a wet bathing suit. If you are sexually active, pee before and after sex, and carefully wash in your vaginal area to keep perfumes from soaps out of your vagina and urethra (pee tube). All these things have pretty much cleared up all my bladder problems, which I had for years, and I would never take macrobid just to avoid infection. That can’t be good for you over time. YES, Macrobid DOES cause yeast infections! See if you can consult with a different doctor. Sounds like you can get your bladder infections under control like I did. I had them badly for years until I saw the right doctor.
