It can still take a few days to a week before it goes completely.
It may also come back again. I recommend you get cream otc from your chemist, that works really well and prevents it from coming back straight away.
Yoghurt works well, but it doesn’t always kill everything.
Wait to have sex until you are sure that it is definitely completely gone.
You don’t want your partner to get it too!
You should wait until all your symptoms clear up before having sex. If it’s been over a week, you may need to go to the doctor. Sometimes home remedies like yogurt or even Monistat just don’t cut it. You may need a Diflucan prescription to clear it up. That stuff usually works within a couple of days.
But if you think the yogurt is working you just need to wait it out.
HI. I work for an obgyn and I have also had yeast infections before as a woman and mine last only a few days because I try to treat them right away but it just depends on your body how long it will take for it to go away…could be days or even up to two weeks. You need to treat it asap because it hurts!! try monistat over the counter and use the vaigisil itching cream (which may seem to burn when you first put it on but it will go away). You can also go to your gyn dr and have him/her prescribe something! Idk if this is your first time having a yeast infection but it may be hard to get rid of for example some women havie it occur as many as once a month or every few weeks. I suggest you treat them right away with Monistat. Im not sure when you can start having sex but just wait until after all the symptoms have gone away.
