How long does a yeast infection last?

I noticed symptoms of a yeast infection on Friday. I immediately went home and used a one day treatment kit. The major symptoms went away about a day later – no more discharge or itching … but I still dryness and the area is still tender. How long does that usually last?

I honestly never had much luck with the one day treatment and hated yeast infections so much that I would go for the 7 day just to be sure that it was gone, gone. You sound like you are in the healing process from the infection and hopefully will be completely better in a few days. Eat some plain, unsweetened yogurt and that might help get the good bacteria back in your system quicker.
