How long can you have an std without knowing it?

i have been sleeping with a guy for almost a year. I started getting std symptoms but he doesn’t have any how long until he will get symptoms? what chance does he have of not getting a std?

If you think you have an std then you probably do. Its not the end of the world go to the doctor and get tested. I just went 2 months ago since i just got out of a relationship and was clean. If you are clean then maybe you will appreciate it and be safer next time.
Not all STD will have symptoms. If you suspend that you have an STD, you should get tested immediately. Some STD will make you sterile and not be able to have kids if left untreated for a long time. Actually, you should both be tested since you are sleeping together. Use condoms until the testing is done to be safe. It sucks, but it is safer.
