The period just prior to an outbreak is called the prodrome. For most people, this is an itching or tingling the over time becomes familiar, so that you can tell an outbreak is coming. And yes, those glands in your groin will often get swollen; they are fighting the infection, just as the glands in your neck get swollen sometimes when you have a sore throat.
To prevent the blisters from forming, I use something called Herpaflor Outbreak Response that I bought on the Internet. You can find it if you search on Google. It is all natural, which I prefer over taking a strong drug, especially on a Daily basis. You take Herpaflor when you feel an outbreak coming to keep the blisters from forming. They also make a natural thing you take on a daily basis, if you want to. You might want to try these out and see if they work for you, before getting into stuff like Valtrex which is expensive and has plenty of side effects.
Good luck to you!
The area infected with the Herpes (strain 1 and 2) will start to tingle (burning/itching sensation) and the skin will start to feel hard. This is called the "tingling stage" and it is the day and time in which you should definitely treat the area with abreva or another herpes treatment.
If you catch it fast enough, the blisters won’t form after youve applied the creams/ taken oral medication.
in my experience it feels like a light stabbing feeling, needle prick or it just gets uncomfortable down there like you cant put your finger on it but it feels strange ya know. when i feel that i take a cotton ball and rub down there with alcohol and it stops…yes it stings for a bit but i never get the blisters or sores if i do it. i just suggest that if you feel something that catches your attention then that might be a sign because anything that’s normal down there will not normally even cross your mind.
