Switch back to your original litter. Also, if you moved the litter box, move it back. Some cats are super sensative to things changing. Even if you get a new box, they might not like that either. You might also give your vet a call and ask him/her about it. Finally, if your cat won't stop spraying, you can crate him with his litter box. Cats will usuall not mark a place that they are stuck in, and will go to the litter box instead.

does he have a particular spot that he is peeing on? if so if you feed him in this spot then this can sometimes work also spraying dilute orange oil in this spot may help you can also buy a special spray for deterring this from most vets and pet shops maybe he doesn't like the cat litter you are using as our cats hate the white clumping stuff (fullers earth) and we use sophisticat pink which is much less messy for both parties

If you are sure that the cat no longer has an infection then Your cat probably started to associate the litter box with the pain he was having when he had the infection and thinks the litter box caused the pain. It might take time for the cat to realize it doesnt hurt anymore. I would try leaving the lid off the litterbox if it has a lid, perhaps move it to a different location. Dont switch cat litter brands either, cats have very sensitive sense of smell and dont like change. Make sure you completely eliminate the urine odor from where he pees to or the odor will keep him going there. If this doesnt help contact the vet for additional advice. I have a blog with lots of cat care info if you're interested.
