If you had a clear discharge, darlin', that's NOT a yeast infection! That clear discharge is NORMAL, and it happens every cycle. It indicates that you're in the most fertile phase of your cycle. It goes away after you ovulate.

A yeast infection, on the other hand, will produce a discharge that is clumpy and white, like cottage cheese. (Not to be confused with the milky, lotiony discharge that is common in the low-fertility part of the cycle, or the elmer's glue-type sticky, sometimes crumbly discharge in the lowest fertility part of your cycle.)

Do you use scented toilet paper, pads, or tampons? If so, the fragrances could be what is causing the irritation, and the quick fix would be to simply change to non-scented.

Another problem might also be soap. If you're using soap in that area when you bathe or shower, it could also be irritating the labia and entering into the vagina to irritate it. If you're using soap in that area, stop, and switch to a simple wipe down with some clear water.

You might also try applying a little hydrogen peroxide to the area. Wait a few moments, then pat it dry. You can also try cleansing the area with unscented baby wipes. They're a great way to freshen up without affecting the natural pH balance!
