Esophageal Candidiasis, anyone?
I’m 11 if it makes a difference and the doctors of KU Medical Center have diagnosed me with Esophageal Candidiasis. I’m wondering if anyone can give me information about that. Thanks

It’s just yeast that is growing too much in your throat
THe same stuff bread is made from. They’ll give you an anti fungal medicine most likely, it’s not a huge problem. Tell your mom to get you some probiotics, they are super good in lowering yeast in the body, they come in a capsule form. Or ask your doctor about them in front of your mom if she doesn’t agree to it. They’re basically good germs that normally live in your body (and keep your yeast level down) but can get wiped out if you take medicine sometimes (antibiotics). I hope you don’t have a sore throat but if you do it will go away soon. Good luck! Make sure to eat healthy foods and not all sugar and bread until you’re better.
try google………………and hope you feel better soon, whatever it is..

Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esophageal_candidiasis) will help you understand what it is and give you other info.
Esophageal candidiasis is simply a yeast infection in your throat. Yeast is a normal part of the human skin, mouth and other mucosal surfaces, but sometimes it gets out of balance because of illness or use of certain prescription drugs like inhaled or oral steroids for asthma or other diseases. Does that help?
this is interesting. go straight to the link provided. there are several remedies for it. it occurs under certain preconditions.
