Does my dog have a urinary tract infection?

Crazy question, but my mom’s dog had one once. How do you know if they do?
She’s constantly having to go outside. She doesn’t just walk nicely up to the door - she DEMANDS to go out, barking loud and what not. Then, when we get out, she tries to be a couple times but nothing really comes out. Sometimes it does, but sometimes she’ll squat and nothing.
Are there any other symptoms to look for?

Sounds like it….You need to get her into the vet to have her checked, we can’t tell you for sure.
That is an emergency situation! It’s extremely painful for the dog and there is some kind of blockage or infection, either of which can kill your dog by the end of the weekend. Please call an emergency vet right now. Have you ever had a bladder infection? It is horrible. Your dog is really suffering so please get off the computer and call a vet right now.
Why are you asking unqualified strangers on the internet instead of a VET?!
Get off your butt and get your dog to the vet. She has a problem and you are not qualified to diagnose or treat her. It is her RIGHT to have proper medical care and to deny it is abuse. So stop wasting time on the computer and get going. If is is a UTI, remember — UTIs HURT!!
I would say to take her to the vet. That’s what it sounds like she has, and I am pretty sure the dog can get sick from it.
