Yeast infections are no laughing matter and thousands of people each year are affected. The condition is caused due to an overgrowth of fungus called Candida Albicans. It is most often found in the digestive tract, mouth cavity, or genital regions and is characterized by excessive pain, itching and burning sensation in the genitals along with white milky or cheese like discharge. If it is not treated properly, it can take quite a long time to get rid of such an infection.
It is very important that you understand that most of the
so-called treatments for this condition simply mask or treat the symptoms and will only provide temporary relief, but will not do anything to permanently get rid of the infections. Although they may get rid of the burning itching and painful irritation for a while, they do not alleviate the root cause, which is Candida Albicans.

Eating yogurt with live cultures actually helped decrease the number and severity of yeast infections in a controlled study of women who had chronic vaginal candidiasis.
its not eating it that cures it.. you have to get plain unflavored yogurt and you are supposed to put that on your va jay jay ….not sure if this works..i’ve always just bought the kits from the store…
Good luck with that!
Cranberry juice helps a urinary tract infection not a yeast infection. Yogurt does help, and even if it sounds gross you can use some plain yogurt with live cultures and rub some on yourself, it will help sooth the burning and itching. If you have problems with yeast infections a lot eat yogurt with live cultures everyday and it will help keep the chemicals in your vagina balanced, but you need to go to your local pharmacy and pick up some medication made for a yeast infection. You don’t need a doctors order to get what you need, its over the counter.
I heard cranberry juice help also. But honestly Im not sure food is the better way to treat that.
yes, as long as it is not frozen..it has to be the live cultured type in the fridge section of the grocery store….any time you take antibiotics you should eat yogurt….it can save you a lot of pain and money….and it is a very healthy snack to boot….when i was in medical school, we were told of a girl that could’t get the blueberry stains out of her underwear….she was not eating it…lol. People are funny….but yes, yogurt will always help prevent and treat a yeast infetion.
I’ve heard it helps, but don’t know for sure. However cranberries do help. They also help uti’s and help fight other infections. If you don’t like the juice try it in pill form.
i have heard it could.
Yes it does.
It has to do with the active cultures.
I dont know about cure but it prevents them
No. Diflucan does.
no you got to sit in it and make sure your privates are getting the yogurt but eating the alive aldophis stuff will help
hmmm try it
It is best to eat the yogurt while taking antibiotics……if that is how you got the yeast infection in the first place. You see antibiotics not only kill the bad bacteria that we dont want in our bodies, but it also kills the good bacteria that we need in our bodies. So when you remove that good bacteria in our bodies, you get a yeast infection. You can get a yeast infection in other areas of the body besides vaginally, such as in the mouth.
There are living cultures in yogurt that replace our good bacteria, and they can prevent a yeast infection as well as heal mild yeast infections. You should probably see a doctor, or buy an over the counter yeast infection medication, (an antifungal for internal use providing your infection is vaginally, if oral you will need to see your doctor)
Good Luck,
Lisa
