A UTI is very serious and must have antibiotics. If you wait too many days to start meds, you will experience pain like you’ve never had before! I waited too long once and the pain was unbearable. I laid in bed and cried and whailed for a full day. However, to stop the recurrance of them after you get this one cured, buy Cranberry fruit pills at any health food store, or Walmart, and take 3 or 4 daily for a few months. I promise it will stop them forever. It did in me. I hate cranberry juice and cannot drink it. These pills are all natural and won’t hurt you in any way, but they will stop bladder & kidney infections and UTIs.
I would go see a doctor to be sure, as the infection can spread "up" toward internal organs.
Go ahead and drink lots of cranberry juice and water. That often clears it up. However, if you continue to have a fever or it worsens or you get pain in the back, then that is much more urgent (possible kidney infection) and you should get it checked out and get some form of antibiotics. I agree with the other poster. You don’t want to put off seeing the doctor too long, but by increasing water and cranberry juice, you may be able to stave it off.
PLEASE go to the dooctor. You can die if the infection spreads to your blood. Don’t mess with infections. And when you are prescribed antibiotics from the doctor, make sure you take them as prescribed!
A brazilian model died in January because her bladder infection spread to her blood. First they amputated her arms and feet and then she died. Read more here:

Also, they are very very painful once they go untreated for too long. It happened to me once, and it was very fast. One night I was feeling some pains in my lower back. I went to osleep and woke up in the middle of the night in horrific pain, It hurt really bad to pee, I was crying, had the chills, was shaking and I threw up. It is not worth not going to the doctor.
While drinking lots of cranberry juice and water will help, it is best to go see the DR. just in case something else is going on as well.
your doc will want to do a culture and you will need two prescriptions, one to kill the bacteria and one for the pain. Good Luck, they are no fun.
AZO is an over the counter medicine that may work but in the meantime drink lots of water.
Go to the urgent care center. They can help you immediately.
You HAVE to see a doctor. Other the counter junk only prevents a UTI. It does not cure one. Two different words with two different meanings. You need antibiotics to fully clear it.
Purchase some supplements from your local drug store, such as cranberry and garlic tablets to help fight the UTI. Cranberry makes the walls of the bladder slick so that bacteria has a harder time sticking to it. Garlic has natural antibacterial qualities.
