Can you get herpes blisters on your hands or other parts of your body?

Can genital herpes be spread to hands or other parts of your body? For example if my girlfriend has genital herpes and I masturbate her, can I get blisters on my hands? Just curious. Thanks

Yes, you can. It’s just extremely rare and hard to do, so it’s not well known. I believe it requires you having open sores on your hands to begin with.
If you do break out on your hands, I’d be more concerned about syphilis.
You cannot get herpes if you touch. However, it is transmittable through mucous membranes and areas where the skin is not intact, like an abrasion or cut.
