Genitals, mouth, eyes, torso...anywhere. It's a nifty little virus that can find the smallest abrasion to gain entry into the nervous system. Technically, if someone with active herpes was to kiss (or rub their genitals on?) another person on their torso and that person had a scratch or a cut, the virus could gain access there. Realistically, I don't know how common that would be, I just know it's possible. It’s possible to get herpes anywhere on your body. Genitals, mouth, eyes, torso…anywhere. It’s a nifty little virus that can find the smallest abrasion to gain entry into the nervous system. Technically, if someone with active herpes was to kiss (or rub their genitals on?) another person on their torso and that person had a scratch or a cut, the virus could gain access there.
Realistically, I don’t know how common that would be, I just know it’s possible.

It's rare (since the herpes virus REALLY don't want to be anywhere other than the mouth, genitals and sometimes eyes), and the infected person will probably only ever get that one outbreak - but it does happen.
