The theory is that the probiotics will replace the bacteria normally in your body after the antibiotic has killed them. They do this all the time (Rx. together) especiallly to deter Clostridium Difficile Diarrhea. Just what are they trying to rid you of? Sounds like they need a culture and sensitivity to ID the bug and appropriate antibiotic. Good Luck!

No it does not cancel it out, antibiotics kill all bacterial from you body, good and bad. Probiotics put the good bacteria back in your body, helping your immune system. You might want to do a whole body cleanse and a candida cleanse after being on all those antibiotics.

The probiotics will not reduce the effectiveness of the antibiotics, but it's possible that the antibiotics can kill some of the probiotics. You might still have an infection because it's a strain that's resistant to antibiotics. (The probiotics in the yogurt probably have nothing to do with your infection.)
