i have oral candidiasis im pretty sure i got it from taking a around of antibiotics too long i took zithromax for about… 9-10 days. i missed a couple of times i should took it. and i split the medication in half and took halves every day. ummm…. i didnt wash my mouth out with water afterwords either. cause i didnt think i could get oral candidiasis.

Another thing is i have these "orange-ish" bumps on the back of my throat, they look just like puss pockets like strep would give…. but they are really just kinda orange…

My oral candidiasis is only on the back of my tongue, from inner lip and under my tongue on both sides of it. like but its weird. cause it seems like its under my undertongue’s skin. dunno like its near the vessels……… im not sure. sooo yeah. thats whats going on… which isnt helping my gums really so im flossing alot more and just started using alot more mouth wash.

any advice lemme know ty

My poor 6 month old kitten "Tangerine" has feline herpes. I have been giving him Lysine twice a day orally and Zithromax once a day orally and Terramycin twice a day for his eye. I have been giving him these for about 5 - 6 days now and I am not seeing much improvement. What is the average time period on when the symptons dissapear?

Runny Nose
Discharge from the nose
Discharge from one eye
Closed sore eye
Sneezing a lot
Low Energy
Noisy Breathing

My boyfriend & I both got treated w/ the single dose powder form of Zithromax for chlamydia. How soon after being treated can you have sex? I took my medication on a Monday morning and he took his on a Thursday moring. My symptoms started going away & I felt better in about 2 1/2 days and he had no symptoms at all. We had unprotected sex the other day. It had already been 8 days for me since I took the medication but only 5 days for him. So after 5 days of him being on the medication, we had sex. Was 5 days a long enough time frame for the infection to have cleared? I heard that if you take the single does zithromax, which I did, you may be non-infectious after 48 hours? Is this true? Please help! I don’t have any other symptoms since we’ve had sex should I still be retestes to make sure???

Hi-dose antibiotics aren’t working for me. I have Mycoplasma and Chlamydia Pneumonias (at a "cellular/cryptic" level), Candidiasis and Epstien-Barr Virus. My blood level (titers) have gotten worse, even after a 3-month treatment with Zithromax, Valtrex and Diflucan. I’ve been having alot of pain and stiffness and am very sick/dysfunctional. Currently being treated at a specialty center for Fibro and Fatigue.This is causing me much emotional and financial stress. Suppose I should see an Infectious Disease specialist? If so, any suggestions on a physician of that type in the Akron, Ohio area?

I just found out that I have chlamydia, and I was prescribed a one-time dosage of zithromax. The doc told me to wait two weeks before having sex. Do I need to go see the doc for follow up after my two weeks and before I have sex again?

I was given:
Keflex
Bactrim
Zithromax
Genamicin
Penacillin
all at different times to get rid of an infection that I still HAVE!
Plus I was told to eat lots of Yogurt to not get a Yeast infection.
so Im wondering:
Am i defeting the purpose of the Antiboitics by consuming the yogurt which load you up with probiotics.
as this is the FIRST time I have ever NOT been able to rid myself of infection and used Yogurt at same time.
anyone know about this or can dirct me to a site for answers.

I took Zithromax yesterday morning to cure some chlamydia. Then late at night i smoked and took a couple hits of marijuana. Now will that have any interference with the curing of the vd at all? Only people who know for sure leave me an answer.

During my annual exam, my doctor did a routine STD exam as well. I tested positive for chlamydia and was given a 7 day course of doxycycline (allergic to zithromax). My boyfriend was tested as well and his results came out negative. We have not had sex since we found out I had chlamydia. After I finished treatment, I went back for another test and it came out positive again. How is it possible that my results came back positive again even after treatment and my boyfriend’s come back negative when we’ve had unprotected sex for the last 5 months (we’ve been completely monogamous with each other)? Is there a certain amount of time I am supposed to wait before getting tested again after treatment? I got retested the same day I was finishing my last pill.

My boyfriend and I were both treated for chlamydia with a one time dose of zithromax on a tuesday, we had sex that following friday and used a condom. When we were done we noticed the condom broke. Should we get treated again or were the antibiotics still in our system and still working?

Ok, so I now know that you can get a yeast infection from antibiotics. I’m currently on two different antibiotics. I’m taking penicillin for a tooth infection, and zithromax for bronchitis. I’m almost done with my penicillin, but I have several days left on my zithromax. Is there anything I can take now while still on my antibiotics to help clear this up?

I’m already eating yogurt, taking Culturelle probiotic tablets, and I’m wearing breathable fabrics. Can I start a treatment of Monistat now, or would the fact that I’ll be on antibiotics for a few more days defeat the purpose? I just can’t wait until I’m done with the antibiotics to try and get better. Please tell me that there is something I can do for relief.
