This is kinda a personal question, so please, be mature about these answers. This is a problem that i really need to solve, thank you.
Hi, i’m 15 years old, and i started my period when i was about 13 years old. From the first year i started it, to right now, i have always used tampons. I despise pads because in my opinion they are uncomfortable and i can’t play sports in them ect..
So i strickly stay to tampons.
I do change them every 2 hours, clean myself, douch when i should, and so on.
I have despertly tried to stay away from toxic shock sendrome or any other health risks i could get by using tampons, so i would say im a very clean person.
About a year ago i started to have very VERY bad yeast infections. They were… you wont even understand unless you’ve been through one. A savere one.. i can personally say, it is the WORST pain i have ever felt. I liturally felt like dying, it was HORRIBLE. I am not even exsaterating. I went to the hospital ect.. they gave me some magic pill that costs 600 dollars and poof it was gone within the week. The only explanation i could come up with at that time, for the savare yeast infection, was having sex for the first time, unprotected. (Yes, stupid as hell, never doing THAT again) It was my first time with my boyfriend (at the time, pfft men lol) and he was a virgin as well. We did not use a condom, and so i thought maybe that was the reason why i got a yeast infection. I have very very sensative skin, and bad reactions to alot of things, so maybe skin on skin, and lots of friction, (you know how sex goes) i thought it was the reason. So thank god, that passed. Its been almost an entire year later, and here come the yeast infection again.. I have not had sexual ANYTHING since that last time, my boyfriend lives in another country so no action here lol. It was right after my period, and it wasnt as bad as the previous one. I got an over the counter monostate yeast infection treatment, and it went right away. Now, i am getting ANOTHER ONE! The very next month after. I have JUST got off my period about 1 day ago, and i am getting the symtoms of a yeast infection ONCE AGAIN! D: I am getting tired of this itchy, annoying pain in the ass. I have a theory that, maybe its my usage of tampons that is giving me this yeast infection. I have noticed last period, and this just passing one, that during my period, right before i get off, i am very very dry. I am only spotting, but heavily spotting, and so i use tampons still, but i get very dry and its painful sometimes pulling the tampon out because there is almost no blood on it, so it scraps out, My discharge is non exsistant, and it starts to smell.. well.. fishy :p
It gets very very dry, and uncomfortable. Now, being off my period, i have a yeast infection. The symtoms i got during using my tampons are the exsact symtoms i got in the past yeast infections. So i am wondering, has anyone had this problem?
Could it be my tampon use?
Any tips?

I know this was a very long question, im sorry if i dragged it on, i just want to make sure i get all the details down. this is hurting very bad, and getting to be annoying and scary. I havent douched in about a year, so it can’t be that. I was told it could be that, so i stopped about a year ago.
