I believe i have a yeast infection. For the last 2 days my vaginal area has been itching like crazy, and i have been trying my hardest not to itch it. And as usual, when i itch it it gets worse. There’s a thick white discharge and a slight smell. What is the quickest and easiest way to get rid of this?
(Please dont say go to a doctor, if i wanted to go to one, i wouldn’t be using Yahoo Answers)
I have a yeast infection, which I bought clotrimazole 3 day treatment for. I finished the treatment, but still have some itching and burning in my vaginal area. I have tried the vinegar treatment, but it doesnt seem to work. I have been taking acidophilus supplements to help combat the problem, and it seems I read somewhere that these geltabs can be placed in the vagina. Is this possible?
i have an itchy burning sensation in the lower crack of my butt by my vagina like i haven’t wiped good (sorry but yeah) this only happens when i get sweaty down there and it gets a little moist or when i have on a pad sometimes and i get sweaty. it is very uncomfortable for me and my mom told me to put vasaline on it to see if that would help and that clears it up until the next time i get really moist in that area. Yesterday at work i began to feel the same thing but as time went on the pain moved down into my vaginal area around the vulva. it was soo uncomfortable!! when i got home i looked and i had a cloudy white looking discharge i went to the store and bout some vaginal cream for yeast infections and it has stopped. i am sexually active and i’m worried it maybe a sexually transmitted disease or just a yeast infection or could it just be somethin like a diaper rash?..please help me thank you! and i do have an appointment soon i will ask about this when i go

HELP!
Ok, so my female friend has been having difficulties with her vagina lately. This started this Tuesday (the 24th) in the morning. She had sex with another female friend of mine Saturday night (this other friend has cold sores which were not active at the time of sexual intercourse). So Tuesday morning, she couldn’t fall back to sleep and noticed a gradually increasing pain inside and outside her vagina. The symptoms include: intense burning and itching of entire vaginal area (internal and external), yellow discharge (liquid) and small white chunks inside the vagina, it doesn’t smell bad but the pain is so intense she’s having difficulties walking or even sitting still. She has tried applying Vagisil, which she explained only masks only the pain. I don’t think there’s anything else, but I’ll ask her (she’s sitting right next to me) for more information if it’ll help. Thanks.
It seems to have spread to my butt and just… the whole external vaginal area, but it’s almost all gone from my vagina (which was causing the worst of the pain) I’ve been taking Monistat 3 day and tonight is the last. I can deal with an external yeast infection if I know it’s gonna go away and not jump back into my vagina. lol
Guess… I’m just wondering if this is normal?
My poor little 17 month old had RSV last week which led to her developing an ear infection. Today I see that she has developed a yeast infection, probably because antibiotics often kill the good bacteria living down there.
I feel so bad that she is going through all of this at once! I had yeast infections as a child and my mom swears that plain yogurt is a miracle cure. I’m going to buy some tomorrow. Do you know of any good treatments for yeast infections? This is her first one… thanks! She has a follow up appointment next week to make sure that she has recovered from her RSV and ear infection. I’m confident that I can handle the yeast infection just fine, but obviously if it gets worse we’ll go straight to the doctor.
And I mean applying the yogurt to her vaginal area, not eating it… lol… just clarifying.
Well she does eat yogurt everyday. But applying it vaginally is a common treatment that helps to balance out the bacteria down there.
My baby has a little start of a yeast infection in her vaginal area and in the accompanying folds and creases. What kind of anti-fungal should I use? The dr said "lotrimin" but I wonder if she meant gyne-lotrimin, or if it matters….
I first had symptoms of a yeast infection about a week ago, itching and soreness in labia and vaginal area, clear discharge. I treated it with the drug store brand,1-day, over-the-counter yeast infection treatment (tioconazole). The symptoms got better at first, and I no longer have any discharge, but I am now having much more intense soreness and itching of the labia and vaginal opening. I’m very red and swollen down there. Should I treat with another over-the-counter medication (I’ve been reading that the 1 day treatment is not the best)? Is there something that it could be that is not a yeast infection?
I was a little freaked out because I had these symptoms:
*pain and irritation in vaginal area
*itching
*sensitivity in my groin area, around the glands–almost like underwear irritation
*clumpy discharge (white)
I was tested before any of these symptoms and all came back negative except for my HSV-1 test–it showed up positive, but I have never had an outbreak on my mouth or my genital area. After this, the symptoms listed above occurred, and I thought it was just a yeast infection. No blisters or lesions or anything like that. I took the one dose of Diflucan and it was cured in a week. Now, I feel fine and everything is normal down there. But, I can’t help but think after testing positive for HSV-1 that it could have something to do with it. I took that Diflucan and it worked, so it makes me think that it was just a yeast infection. What do you think?
I have a rash around my vaginal area. There are red bumps and it’s swollen and really itchy. No discharge. I’m very clean. I shower and change my underwear daily. I don’t use any medication. I’m not on my period so it’s not being caused by pads or tampons.
I’m 21 years old. I use condoms when having sex. My boyfriend and I are each others first so it is NOT an STD. I don’t think it’s a yeast infection but I could be wrong.
How do I cure it and what should I do? Thanks!
I’m 52 but still have regular cycles. For the last 6 months I have been experiencing extreme dryness and skin sensitivity in the vaginal area that feels like the burning of a yeast infection both inside and outside the vagina for up to 3 days before and during my period.
I have had an annual pap and exam recently. Nothing was found. 0.3mg of estrogen was prescribed, but I don’t want to take it as that cure has more risks than I feel comfortable with taking.
Products like Rephresh do give some relief, but not enough. Vagasil wipes also help, but not for long enough. I also tried avoiding tampons, but it is just too messy at night and with the irritation during the day feeling wet doesn’t help. Always doesn’t seem to keep me any dryer.
Any recommendations?
Marco’s girl: What is Vagifem? A topical or oral hormone? I will try to google it, but please tell me how long you have been on it and if you have had any side affects. Your profile doesn’t allow emails, but my does. I’d really appreciate it if you could take the time to fill me in a bit more. Thanks for your answer!
I was just wondering about if candida overgrowth in the vaginal area destroys tissue. What can I do to repair tissue?
I am 15 years old and I have had some type of infection or irritation in my vaginal area for a while now… over a year. It’s gotten a LOT worse within the past month-ish or so, and I have gone to the pediatrician 3 times, and every time they have told me that I don’t have a yeast infection or any other kind of bacterial infection or whatever. They all told me to try Sitz baths and use anti-itching cream, which sometimes helps to temporarily soothe it, but the stupid thing just won’t go away! It seems like I’ve had it for forEVER… it didn’t used to be a big deal, but lately it has been like 5x itchier, very swollen, sore, red, etc. and it sometimes burns to pee (not all the time though). It does smell kind of fishy which is why my mom thought it was an infection, but the doctors said it wasn’t. I just don’t know what to do anymore, because they can’t give me antibiotics or anything to cure it since I don’t even have a specific infection. The symptoms are so bad though, during school it’s sometimes unbearable to sit still in class, and it often keeps me awake at night. Running cold water on it and icing it helps for the time being, but afterwards it goes right back to being itchy and sore. My labia are very swollen and red, and in the past few days they have gotten a little rough/hard… I don’t know what this means? Also, to make things worse, I recently got a rash in my ass… It came a couple months ago and I have been using diaper rash cream, which has helped but I don’t think it’s all the way gone. I really have no clue what I can do anymore.. I really really don’t want to go to the gynocologist because I’m so scared it will hurt like hell… I can’t even stick tampons up there I still use pads because I’m the biggest wimp ever when it comes to sticking things up there. I have like a fear of it or something, which is why this whole thing sucks so bloody much. PLEASE HELP MEEEEE!!!
I just started using this new anti-itch cream, and my labia have only gotten very very swollen since I started using it a few days ago. Could I be allergic to it, or is it just a coincidence?
