I have always had a "normal" period.. ever since I first started. But recently my period has been very very VERY light.. and it lasts for about 2 weeks with some days having no bleeding at all. I have had unprotected sex recently.. Im scared that maybe and STD is causing this change.. I am planning on getting tested, but until then I am wondering if maybe an STD can affect my menstrual?

I have been taking Tri-Sprintec (generic for Ortho-Tricylcen) for over a year. I was prescribed antibiotics (Augmentin) for a UTI. I started the antibiotics on day 9 of my b.c. pack… and my husband and I had unprotected sex two days after I started the antibiotics. Is it possible that my birth control could have failed that soon and that I might get pregnant?

I’m in a fairly new relationship, and I went to the gyno to have a regular check up, and I got tested- and was told I have chlamydia. I’ve never had unprotected sex, and I know I have to tell my boyfriend. My boyfriend & I both got treated w/ the single dose powder form of Zithromax for chlamydia. How soon after being treated can you have sex? I took my medication on a Monday morning and he took his on a Thursday moring. My symptoms started going away & I felt better in about 2 1/2 days and he had no symptoms at all. We had unprotected sex the other day. It had already been 8 days for me since I took the medication but only 5 days for him. So after 5 days of him being on the medication, we had sex. Was 5 days a long enough time frame for the infection to have cleared? I heard that if you take the single does zithromax, which I did, you may be non-infectious after 48 hours? Is this true? Please help! I don’t have any other symptoms since we’ve had sex should I still be retestes to make sure???

I was recently treated for a STD is got from unprotected sex. It made a discharge as a warning sign so I got checked. My boyfriend was also treated for this. We were told not to have unprotected sex for 2 weeks and finish all the medicine given for the problem. Me and him have not had any kind of sex for 1 week and I have finished my pills. I am still having a discharge. Is this normal? I plan on getting retested on the 18th of June but was just wondering if anyone else always has discharge and what it looks like. My boyfriend never had a test but has taken his pills given my the doctor. He never showed any signs of the STD.

I usually have a normal period. It lasts anywhere from 5-7 days, and I have one every month. I stopped taking my birth control last month, so I had two periods.
