I had a vaginal yeast infection a week ago.. went to the doctor.. got fluconzale, yeast infection went away two days. I just had intercourse with my boyfriend and got a burning feeling after.. I’m thinking it had to do with the yeast infection. Could I have spread it?

So my girlfriend has had something wrong with her for about 7 months. About 2 months ago we went to the clinic and she had a check-up. They determined that she had a yeast infection, and prescribed her an anti fungal cream that was placed into a tube and inserted into her. She took this for 7-10 days, after being told to take for 4-5 days.
Her symptoms include a burning sensation when intercourse is attempted and sometimes a burning while urinating.
Is there anything further we can do?
Thanks.

I have had this problem for quite awhile now, and I’m not sure what it is. I’ve been to the gynocologist, and I thought it was a yeast infection for the longest time, but the test always comes out negative. The secretion is like the consistency of a thin gel, and has a milky color to it. It is heavily secreted about once a week, and I have no clue what it is, or even if it’s normal.
I’ve had intercourse before while I’ve had this problem, and afterwards, there is so much of it, it’s like a milky cream.
I am so grossed out by this, and frustrated because I’ve been to the doctors so many times, and they tell me nothing is wrong.
Has anyone had this experience before? Or might know what this could be? I know that I do not have an STD or a yeast infection because I have been tested.

Okay…so I have been under attack by the yeastie bastards. I treated the infection with Monistat Day or Night first; it didn’t work. Then, after that put a dent in my bank (), but did not supply results, I used the Equate 3 day treatment. This didn’t work either. I started looking online for natural remedies and found garlic was a enemy to yeast. I tried it and low and behold the infection seemed to clear up almost immediately. The next day I resumed sexual activity with my husband as usual, but afterwards I started feeling the itchy feeling and by the morning it had returned. I once again treated it with garlic and waited two more days before resuming intercourse, but when I did the infection again returned. How long does it take for garlic to get rid of this for good? I can’t keep relapsing back into agony. I have had this for over a week now, but I can’t go to the doctor on the account that I have no insurance and it costs a lot of money. Please help!

It look like a red rash, but with little bumps around as well. No pain, a bit of itching, but no other symtoms. Does that sound like an STD. My girlfriend and I have only been orally active, no intercourse.

my husband caught a staph infection while he was in the hospital. I get yeast infections. Is it possible I caught the staph infection through intercourse?

Okay, before you guys start saying "Go to a doctor" and stuff like that let me just say that it is almost 4 a.m. here and cannot go to the doctor right now. Now to the problem. My boyfriend and I had intercourse somewhere around the begining of last week we can say. For some reason everytime him and I have intercourse for at least an hour my v****a usually itches for a day or two. Well the same thing happened that time so I found it to be normal. But, the itching hasn’t gone away. And now I am starting to get more worried because yesterday in the night I found my vaginal discharge to be a bit greenish. The odor chasn’t changed though. It doesn’t hurt when I pee either. Before yesterday, the itching was actually starting go away, but yesterday I saw the greenish discharge. Now this is what I have been doing in the past couple of days, I’ve been eating a lot of junk food so I don’t know if that can be causing it. And, I’ve also been wearing really tight shorts so I don’t know if that also can be reason for it. Also, I don’t know if this helps in any way but the day my boyfriend and I got intimate we decided to try out a new condom. My boyfriend and I have not had intercourse since last week either. Help? What could it be? Is it an STD? Also is there anything I can do to make it feel better till I can go to the doctor?
I’ve been having to go to the bathroom a lot. I don’t know if it is a UTI, I’ve had a UTI before but I don’t remember any green discharge. But then again I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been drinking a lot of water.

My former partner claims to have just tested positive to 2 at-home pregnancy tests and one clinic pregnancy test. I find it hard to believe because we never had intercourse, only genital/genital contact. She also claims to have some type of infection and is blaming me for it. She has been extremely stressed out with family problems and us breaking up, so I was wondering if her having a possible STD and high levels of stress could cause her to miss her period and test positive on 3 pregnancy tests.

I tested positive for Chlamydia. Both my partner and I were prescribed a one time dose (of 4 pills) of antibiotics which we will take tonight. The doctor did not mention anything to me about having to wait to have intercourse nor did I read it in the materials they gave me; however, I have been reading that you have to wait anywhere from 4 days to 2 weeks to have intercourse. I also read that you have to wait until you are done taking the antibiotics, but ours is just a one time dose so will only be taking them one time. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge on this?
Please only respond if you have actual experience or work in the medical field. Thanks!
The treatment is only one dose, so when you say after completing treatment does that mean I can the day after?

Hello. I was recently treated for yeast infection a week ago. My symptoms have gone away and I feel completely normal, however, when I have intercourse with my boyfriend my vagina has a sore feeling to it..It feels sore during penetration and sometimes the soreness will go away during intercourse. Has anyone else experienced this after being treated for yeast infection? Could it be the infection hasn’t completely cleared?
And I am did Rx for fluconazole when I was treated.

Today my step sister received some frightening news, there is a 50- 50 chance she could have genital herpes. I’m also starting to worry because I’m afraid of her spreading it if she does have it! How contagious is it? Can you get it from sitting on the same toilet, using the same shower, or even sharing clothes? I admit I’m pretty ignorant on this subject. I would just like to know more information on this, because I really don’t need to be catching herpes! Anything you know would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Also, i’ve shared makeup, lotions, and clothes with her in the past couple months, and I hang out in her room with her sometimes.. so does that give me a greater chance of catching anything? I am really paranoid!
She got it from oral sex, not intercourse. She is a virgin. I’m not sure if that makes a difference though.

I was wondering where the urethra is located for females. Is it below or above the vaginal canal? Like where is it in relation to where intercourse takes place because i have seen a hole under the vagina and i thought that was the urethra but i wasn’t sure if it was the urethra or the anus.

I have a yeast infection (Thrush) on my penis, and took an over the counter pill on sunday, combined with natural yoghurt, drinking plenty of water and cut sugar and alcohol out of my diet.
Its now thursday and the visual symptoms are almost all but gone, however I want to know how long I should leave it before I can safely have intercourse without infecting my partner?
