There are basically 2 treatments of yeast infections that i know of: the Diflucan one dose pill and the Monistat insertion ovules. I was wondering if anybody has a certain preference because it works better. If you like the Monistat, do you like the one day dose, or the 3 day dose? I currently have a yeast infection and my doctor gave me a prescription for the Diflucan, but i couldn’t afford to buy it til i get paid Friday. so i bought the single dose Monistat and it doesn’t seem that it worked.

I’m pretty sure i have a yeast infection, i’ve never expereinced such itching, tenderness, and soreness as i have the last couple days, it is just unbearable. There is thick white clumpy discharge with no odor and extreme irritation. I’ve had bv before and i know its not that, so im sure its a YI. I used the tioconazole-1 tonight before laying down and within a few minutes of insertion, the burning and irritation doubled in intenseness!! Is this from the meds working?? It’s calmed down a little now tho..

I was wondering, I just had cryotherapy 5 days ago and I'm not supposed to use tampons or have intercourse, but I think i'm developing a yeast infection. Can I use a treatment for yeast infections that require insertion of a "syringe" type thing that inserts the yeast infection cream into the vagina? Or should I get something else?
