Back in March I was diagnosed with Type II of the Herpes virus. When I told my fiance, he stated that he had never experienced an outbreak in his life…which I can see it being true given that there hasn’t been anything visable during the time that we’ve been together (1 year and 5 months). However, since I’ve been with him, we haven’t been using protection. Therefore, is it possible that he he may be carrying the virus and not know it?

Last night i borrowed a friend’s lipstick who has the herpes virus but she did not have a visible cold sore. Over night she developed a cold sore, is there a risk i will have contracted the virus from using her lipstick as only a few hours later her cold sore appearred? And if so will i develop a cold sore straight away?

How long can the herpes virus survive on a object? If someone I know infected with herpes and had a active cold sore drank from a glass of water and say a hour later I drank from it would it be possible for me to contract the virus?
what about on a whistle that was used by someone with the virus (with active sores), then someone else uses it when it is dry a hour later?

How long can the herpes virus stay in your body without showing up on an std test. What is a safe time frame to wait until it would show on a std test?
Thank you, I was also wondering, as far as test results go, would it be possible that the herpes virus could lay dormant in your body for not only months, but possibly years before showing up on a test…., or even getting any symptoms until then? Thanks again.

I’m still a virgin and I just want to know that couple of years ago I had a blister on my lip. Is that considered a herpes virus ? And I haven’t engaged into any sexual activities(including a kiss) before or after.
