I WAS ON ANTIBIOTICS ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND IM SURE THA CAUSED A YEAST INFECTION. MY DR GAVE MY CREAM 2 TREAT THE INFECTION. THE DISCHARGE IS GONE BUT I STILL HAVE VAGINAL IRRITATION, SWOLLEN LABIA, SORENESS N THE GROIN AREA. I THOUGHT MABE THE SOENESS CAME FROM THE AMT OF DISCHARGE. ITS MORE LIKE A RED RASH N THAT AREA. WHAT IS THIS N HOW CAN I TREAT IT
Hey all, I’m pretty sure I have some kind of fungal infection on my groin area. I was wondering, will any cream suffice?
I was wondering if someone could help me determine what I have.
My skin on the bottom part of my scrotum red compared to the color of the rest of my scrotum. Unless washed everyday, the skin begins to peel / flake / cracking skin and become itchy.
I have read many sources at yahoo answers, Wikipedia and other pages
I have read all the symptoms of jock itch and it seems most probable, but what concerns me most is that most jock itch cases affect the groin area while mine is only a patch on my scrotum.

1. Does this mean I have candidiasis (yeast infection)?
2. Where could I have received this from?
3. Could it infect any one whom I have sexual intercourse with being on the lower portion of my scrotum ?
I am lead to believe it is a yeast infection because after sexual intercourse with a female, she produces a white flaky substance (solid) (best describes as small pieces of wet paper mache) out of her vagina.
Oh and the most obvious question what should I do if it is a yeast infection, is it required to consult a doctor?
How do I talk to her about it?
if your male and have it in the groin area what do you use that works over the counter or home remedies? Yes i have gone to the doc for it last summer….i only get it in the summer hence i live in arizona where we live in 110 temps and we sweat alot.

I was a little freaked out because I had these symptoms:
*pain and irritation in vaginal area
*itching
*sensitivity in my groin area, around the glands–almost like underwear irritation
*clumpy discharge (white)
I was tested before any of these symptoms and all came back negative except for my HSV-1 test–it showed up positive, but I have never had an outbreak on my mouth or my genital area. After this, the symptoms listed above occurred, and I thought it was just a yeast infection. No blisters or lesions or anything like that. I took the one dose of Diflucan and it was cured in a week. Now, I feel fine and everything is normal down there. But, I can’t help but think after testing positive for HSV-1 that it could have something to do with it. I took that Diflucan and it worked, so it makes me think that it was just a yeast infection. What do you think?
