What if companies like Valtrex pay doctors to lie about your genital herpes test results just so they will recommend you medication?

I mean, think about it. They say most people don’t even know that they have genital herpes because they show no symptoms. So if a person is in fear and doubt that they have the disease, who’s to say that a doctor won’t tell you false-positive results and prescribe you suppressant medication?

if you have a chlamydia test at the doctors it takes about 7 days to get the results back but if you have it at hospital could you get the results back while you are there? so my question is how long does it actually take for doctors etc to test for chlamydia and see if it comes out positive or negative?

So, I’ve always tried to be careful in the past about not getting herpes in the past by getting regularly tested and asking my partners to do the same. It hasn’t really been an issue until now though. I’m dating a girl I really like, but her doctor and her gynecologist are telling her that since she doesn’t have symptoms, she shouldn’t get tested and that they actually will refuse to test her for the virus. What am I to think about this? I’m interested in what other women are hearing from their doctors.

I’m on the pill, and i’ve been taking it continuously so I don’t get my period. I’ve been having unprotected sex with the same guy for a couple months now. Recently I had sex with someone else (unprotected, I know im stupid) and then the other guy a couple days later and somewhere within these 5 days noticed some changes down there. I think its spotting, very light reddish-clear liquidy disharge, not normal for me whatsoever. Can it just be my period trying to break thru? Is it spotting? What does spotting mean? Can it be an std? Can you contract an std n get symptoms like this in less than a week? How long? Possibility of a pregnancy? An uknown miscarriage? Its really bothering me and I am planning on getting a doctors appt soon I just need some help now before the morning hits I cant stop thinking about it. Help?

he prescribed so antibiotics and i took them all aong with ove the counter drugs that made my pee orange
i have drank nothing but 100% cranberry juice and water for the past week
but i still have it
what else can i do

I have had a never ending yeast infection for almost a year now. I am so sensitive down there that it has gotten to the point where I cant do anything that I used to anymore. Getting graphic…30 seconds into wearing a tampon I feel the yeast infection starting, everytime before I get my period I feel it coming on again, whenever I wear a thong, if I eat anything sweet. No matter how many vitamins I take, all the yeast creams in the world, the best diet I’m on, nothing seems to work!!!! I can not live like this anymore, it cant be normal to get it this much! I have gone to doctors and they just give me pills to treat yeast (that barely work). And I can NEVER even attempt to have sex because that gives me extreme yeast infections. My older sister has been suffering from this for about 4 years now, and I just started a year ago.. but no one in our family has ever had it. Whats wrong with us?? Is it genetic?? or something in our body producing way too much yeast? I am desperate, help!

I have had this problem for quite awhile now, and I’m not sure what it is. I’ve been to the gynocologist, and I thought it was a yeast infection for the longest time, but the test always comes out negative. The secretion is like the consistency of a thin gel, and has a milky color to it. It is heavily secreted about once a week, and I have no clue what it is, or even if it’s normal.
I’ve had intercourse before while I’ve had this problem, and afterwards, there is so much of it, it’s like a milky cream.
I am so grossed out by this, and frustrated because I’ve been to the doctors so many times, and they tell me nothing is wrong.
Has anyone had this experience before? Or might know what this could be? I know that I do not have an STD or a yeast infection because I have been tested.

If so, what happened?
Its a question, not a suggestion. The reason I ask is I frequently encounter doctors that just don’t want to do their jobs (I’m a nurse). I have come across several that refuse to write prescription for daiper rash for lame reasons like, its just daiper rash. I was wondering what kinds of things people are doing when they don’t get the help they ask for. This was something I heard about.

Me and my girlfriend are sexually active. She went to the doctor this morning and called me she had a bladder infection or UTI. And the doctors told her she got it from sexual intercourse. I only have a period every other month. It usually comes around the 11-14th. I am suppost to get my period this month. I lost my virginity to my first boyfriend four months ago. Three weeks after we started having sex I got a yeast infection that lasted up until a week ago. I went to three different doctors and no matter what they gave me, the infection would not go ago. My boyfriend did not have any complains and so I thought it was just a infection as the doctors said. I had sex with my boyfriend one week when I did have any problems. Couple days later I saw a bump on my lubia and then couple days after that three more bumps came up. I went to the doctor and got tested. The results came back that I have Herpes. Could it be that I have herpes and he does not? Also could I get herpes from an yeast infection??
