Is it possible? I don’t want to have to spend around 150 bucks just to see a doctor and have him tell me something I already know. And how do antibiotics differ? Are the doses different for the case? Or do they give you less or more pills depending on what your illness is?

My friend says she is a virgin but she suddenly has chlamydia… she said she goes to blood drinking cerimonies with her sister and her sister has it too… so she thinks thats how she got it… is that possible? i thought it was only transmitted through sex.
… her sister pretty much thinks she is a vampire and got her into it, cause its her big sister and she looks up to her and all that… the blood comes from other ppl at the cerimonies… i know its dangerous, i have told her, she doesnt listen. i just wanted to know if it was possible to get it that way casue she is afraid that someone took advantage of her unknowingly… like when she was passed out or asleep or something… she wont talk to anyone about it really…so i told her i would help… she took the antibiotics and stuff, so its better now, but she didnt want to talk to the doctor about the parties… this is the only other thing i could think of to do for her… short of tying her up and not letting her go to any more of those stupid parties. i dont know how to get her to stop, she is still going so she will probably end up with it again. any advice on how to get her to stop going?

I used to get outer ear infections. I don’t think they’d ever go away if I didn’t have antibiotics; however, I cured one by myself once by putting alcohol in my ear. However, other infections aren’t so simple. What if someone got a cut on their finger and it got infected before antibiotics? Would it ever go away, or would people die, etc?

My daughter has an ear infection and has been taking antibiotics for the past 3 days. Now all of a sudden, she refuses to take the remainder of the antibiotics (2 days worth). Is it important that she take these last few teaspoons full of medicine?

i have oral candidiasis im pretty sure i got it from taking a around of antibiotics too long i took zithromax for about… 9-10 days. i missed a couple of times i should took it. and i split the medication in half and took halves every day. ummm…. i didnt wash my mouth out with water afterwords either. cause i didnt think i could get oral candidiasis.
Another thing is i have these "orange-ish" bumps on the back of my throat, they look just like puss pockets like strep would give…. but they are really just kinda orange…
My oral candidiasis is only on the back of my tongue, from inner lip and under my tongue on both sides of it. like but its weird. cause it seems like its under my undertongue’s skin. dunno like its near the vessels……… im not sure. sooo yeah. thats whats going on… which isnt helping my gums really so im flossing alot more and just started using alot more mouth wash.
any advice lemme know

I am on antibiotics starting today, and tomorrow night there is a party where I wish to drink alcohol. Should I not take the antibiotics tomorrow? What is the risk of drinking alcohol while on antibiotics? Does it just make you more drunk? Or is there something bad that can happen? Please don’t just reply with ‘don’t drink’ - I probably won’t, but I’m just wondering.

I have an abcessed tooth, and my dentist perscribed Clindamycin for me. Ive been taking it for 5 days now, and my tooth doesnt feel any better. Is there a stronger antibiotic that I should be taking? I will call my Dr. on Tuesday, but I just wanted to know what the difference is between all the antibiotics out there and their strengths.

Okay, I’m pretty sure this is a yeast infection. I haven’t had one in the past, but I’m confident enough that I do NOT have an STD that exhibits the same symptoms. I cross checked symptoms with my friends who have had them internet sources including WebMD, and a yeast infection seems to be the most likely.
Mostly, my vaginal area is extremely sore, specifically the outer edges of it and the surrounding labia. Sexual intercourse is painful and causes more irritation. I’ve had some discharge, although it is not necessarily chunky and white - it’s mostly clear and odorless. I recently (less than a week before noticing symptoms) came off a cycle of antibiotics for an unrelated infection. It itches like no freaking other, especially when my legs are "closed", for lack of a better word.
Does this sound like a yeast infection to other, more experienced people? How should I proceed? Is it absolutely necessary that I have it checked out by a doctor, like all the websites say?

My doctor prescribed Azithromycin (or however you spell it) last Monday and I took the last dose on Wednesday. Yesterday (Saturday), I started experiencing some of the "side effects" listed on the sheet. Is it possible it’s being caused (still) by the antibiotics or am I probably sick with something else?

Ok, so I am going to start taking antibiotics due to an operation two days from now.
The first question is, how long will it effect my birth control and how long should I take an extra step in using protection? And the other question is, should I also protect myself via condom on top of the birth control the few days before I take the antibiotics? Or does it take a while for the antibiotics to conflict with the birth control? Thanks for the help!

My daughter has a bad ear infection and a horrible cough with bad chest congestion. The doctor prescribed her some antibiotics for the ear infection, a stronger antibiotic than she’s taken before, its called Cefdinir. I was planning on giving her some Robitussin cough and cold medicine to help her, but I don’t want it to interfere with the antibiotics and cause a bad reaction or something.
Thank you!

Yesterday my cat/s scratched and bit me badly while I was bathing them (they messed in the carrier). Today I feel dizzy and like I’m tripping a little, I can’t concentrate well, and I fell all weird in the head, esp when I talk. I am allergic to pennicilin, and I’m not supposed to take most? any? antibiotics (due to candidemia/invasive candidiasis/fungemia). Any idea what I should do? My husbands doctor told him, his wounds were badly infected or something?, and could’ve been fatal, and that he should’ve gone to the ER imediately yesterday. He is now on many huge antibiotic "horsepills", but I have no idea what to do, and I feel so bad =(
It’s not "a little yeast", I have a suppressed immune system, and it is throughout my body, and also possibly fatal if not controlled. Also, it’s not just pennicilin that I can’t take, it’s most or all?
whatever can feed the yeast. =(

My question is, if you contracted Chlamydia and/or Gonnorhea a couple years ago but didn’t know, how do they treat them? Can they be treated with antibiotics or do you have to go through a more serious treatment?
Thank you
